Conopea calceola (Ellis, 1758)

Persian Gulf. Nilsson-Cantell (1938) as Balanus calceolus from the east of Al-Zawr Island in Kuwait; Utinomi (1969) as Balanus (Conopea) cf. calceolus from Khoor Musa in Iran (Fig. 1). Gulf of Oman. No record.

General distribution and habitat. Indo-West Pacific, West Africa and Mediterranean; attached to horny coral (Jones et al. 2000).
