19. Stigmella catharticella (Stainton, 1853) (new to the Crimea)

Host-plant. Rhamnus cathartica L. in the Crimea (as in other regions).

Type of distribution (chorological group). Euro-Submediterranean; the species occurs from Ireland and Italy to Finland, central European Russia, the southern Ural, and Bulgaria.

Material examined. CRIMEA: 1♂, 2♀, 20 km SW Feodosiya, Karadag Reserve, mining larvae on Rhamnus cathartica L., fieldwork card no. 5025, 14.vii–06.viii.2011, leg. A. Diškus & A. Remarks. The species is not rare in the Crimea: widespread but not abundant.
