Chiriqui: Goding 1929e: 302 lists Tragopa bugabensis Fowler as synonym for Stilbophora xanthocephala, giving Fowler’s Tragopa bugabensis Panamá location (Bugaba) for Stilbophora xanthocephala . McKamey 1998: 296–297 lists both Stilbophora xanthocephala and Tragopa bugabensis as valid species with Panamá locations. No specimens of Stilbophora xanthocephala have been seen by the author.
