Type material examined. 2♀♀ and 1♂ SYNTYPES Carin Cheba 900-1100 m V–XII.[18]88. Leg. L. Fea.

Type locality: Myanmar: Karen Hills (= Carin Cheba on the original labels).

Notes. Tumbrinck uploaded to OSF photo of a female specimen of this species from mountainous forest of N Thailand (Tak Mae Salid Monkrating 30.VII.1992. leg. S. Ingrisch det. Skejo & Tumbrinck) belonging to this species that has hitherto been known only from Myanmar. The species belongs to the genus Falconius and is related to F. becvari comb. nov., F. bedoti, F. gestroi, F. karnyi and F. planitarsus . Revision of this subgroup within the Falconius is also needed to assess correctly intra-specific variation.
