Discheramocephalus malalae sp. n.

Etymology. I have pleasure in naming this species after MalalaYousafzai (Malala = grief-stricken in the Pashto language), a co-recipient of the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize. Her leadership and activism for education is crucial to her generation's sound stewardship of the world's environment for peace and security.

Diagnosis. The dark pronotum contrasting with the yellow elytra and absence of visible sculpturation will distinguish this species from all others except D. capac from which it may be separated by its smaller size, more widely separated longitudinal depressions on the pronotum, form of the mesoventral collar and by the almost parallel sided mentum.
