Genus Victrix Staudinger, 1879

Type-species: Victrix karsiana Staudinger, 1879, by monotypy. Type-locality [Turkey]: Armenia, Kars.

Synonymy: Oederemia Hampson; Amelia Wagner; Amelina Draudt.

Note. Victrix is a Palaearctic genus of the subfamily Bryophilinae containing 45 described species (including one, described hereby). The centre of diversity of the genus apparently is Central Asian region. The European and partially Asian faunas of Victrix were revised by Varga & Ronkay (1989, 1991) and Fibiger et al. 2009 with detailed diagnosis, history and synonymy of the genus. The genus is divided into the five subgenera: Victrix (s. str.), Chytobrya Draudt, Polyobria Hampson, Rasihia Kocak, and Micromima Matov, Fibiger & Ronkay (in Fibiger et al. 2009).

Chinese species of the genus Victrix have been reviewed by Han et al. 2011 and Han & Kononenko 2017. The generic diagnosis and checklist of species have been provided. A total of 16 species of Victrix are known from China including the following species. A new species of Victrix belonging to the subgenus Micromima is described below.
