Brachymetra albinervus (Amyot & Serville, 1843)
(Figs. 1A–C, 3A)
Halobates albinervus Amyot & Serville, 1843: 412 (original description).
Brachymetra albinervus: Mayr 1865: 445 (changed combination).
Identification. Our specimens were identified based on antennomere I shorter than the sum of II and III; the eye not surpassing the anterolateral corner of the pronotum; the pronotum with apex rounded in apterous specimens, not reaching abdominal tergum I; the fore femur slightly arched, with few conical black setae ventrally, and the dorsal surface of meso- and metacetabulum with silvery setae (Fig. 1A) (Cordeiro 2017).
Discussion. We reexamined the material of B. furva Drake, 1957 from Rio Grande do Norte identified by Rodrigues et al. (2012), and now consider them to be specimens of B. albinervus .
