Material examined. Holotype NHM UK 2013.1122 and paratype NHM UK 2013.1123, Stn 246: Pacific, Northwest (Middle of); 3748 m.

Distribution. Pacific, Northwest and Southwest; Indian Ocean. Known depth range 3310 to 4820 m.

Remarks. The shell plate details of this large species show similarities to those of T. darwinii and T. ovale (Hoek, 1883), but some differences were described by Young (1998b).
