Geographic & bathymetric distribution. Mediterranean and North Atlantic, between 35°N and 48°N. including Gulf of Mexico; tropical Atlantic between 1°S and 13°S; 0–1500 m depth (Felder et al. 2009; Vereshchaka 2009; Judkins 2014).
