Material examined. 2 nd, 20 miles, NE Los Testigos Archipelago, 11°39’N 62°53’W, Fritjof Nansen R / V st 742, 424 – 452 m depth, 31.viii.1988, (USNM 256513); 2 males, 2 ov. females, 20 miles off N Tortuga Island, 11°13’48”N 65°13’12”W, Fritjof Nansen R / V st 796, 501 – 562 m depth, 7.ix.1988, (MMM-Crus-242); 1 ov. female, 20 miles off NE Los Testigos Archipelago, 11°36’00”N 62°52’48”W, Fritjof Nansen R / V st 742, 424 – 502 m depth, 11.viii.1988, (MMM-Crus-441) .

Geographic & bathymetric distribution. Western Atlantic: Gulf of Mexico, Bahamas, Antilles, Brazil ( Rocas and Bahia Atoll); Eastern Atlantic; Indo-Pacific; West Indian; 85–3700 m depth (Alves-Junior et al. 2019).

Remarks. Previous records for Venezuela: off E La Orchila Island, off N La Tortuga Island (Judkins 2014).
