Geographic & bathymetric distribution. South of the Caribbean Sea and North of South America, between Tobago and French Guyana; 410-733 m depth (Holthuis 1971; Chace 1984).
Remarks. There is a previous record from off N Los Testigos Archipelago, at 807–878 m depth (Blanco Rambla et al. 1994). The report from Guanta (MMM-Crus-326) at 143–154 m depth is the shallowest for G. aurantiaca .
