Geographic & bathymetric distribution. Western Atlantic: from Florida (USA) to Guyana and Bahia (Brazil), including the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea; 548–2094 m depth (Alves-Junior et al. 2017; Holthuis 1971).
Remarks. This is the first report for G. alispina for Venezuela.
