Cercosaura sp. 2
Taxonomic remarks. The first specimens of Cercosaura sp. 2 were only recorded recently (in 2009) and, as the preceding one, it is under study as part of the revision of the genus Cercosaura .
Distribution and habitat. Cercosaura sp. 2 is endemic to Brazilian Amazonia, and until now only known from the Jamanxim river system (Fig. 9), state of Pará. It is terrestrial and diurnal, inhabits dense ombrophilous terra firme forest, where it is found on the ground (Mendes-Pinto & Souza 2011—identified as Cercosaura ocellata).
