Selenaspidus articulatus (Morgan) — rufous scale

Occurs widely in tropical and subtropical areas of the Americas, Africa, Asia, Australia and the Pacific; polyphagous, feeding on plants belonging to 50 families; a pest of citrus and other crops. Recorded from Saint Lucia by CABI (1981b) and Malumphy (2012, on Citrus aurantifolia fruit).

Collection data. Intercepted in the UK (London) on Annona muricata, 12.xi.2012 and 23.ix.2013, leg. R. Waghorn (in association with Eupalopsellidae predatory mites) .
