Comments. According to Platnick’s (2014) catalogue, this species is found in China only. The distribution map (Map 4) in Ovtsharenko et al. (1992) indicates the northeasternmost locality as Urumqi. This locality refers to the type of G. rudolfi Schenkel, 1963 . The holotype of this species was collected by G.N. Potanin in an unknown locality during his 1884–1886 expedition to central and eastern China, which did not include a visit to Xinjiang. The type locality of this species should lie somewhere east of 100°E. The specimen from Mongolia represents the northernmost record of the species and the first record outside of China.
