Remarks. Images of a syntype (NMNH) of Xyleborus takinoyensis were examined and found to be conspecific with Cyclorhipidion bodoanum .

Distribution. East Asia from Japan, Korea, Russia (E. Siberia) to China, Laos and Thailand. Introduced to and invasive in Europe and North America.
