Remarks. The X. nigrosetosus lectotype (NHMW) and X. nigripennis holotype (NHMW) have been directly compared by RAB. Both are from the same series and have the same size and morphology. There are only small differences of an intraspecific nature in the sculpture of the pronotal disc and the elytral declivity, and the species are clearly conspecific, despite being placed in different genera by Wood & Bright (1992).
