Euwallacea temetiuicus (Beeson, 1935) comb. nov.
Xyleborus temetiuicus Beeson, 1935: 112 .
Remarks. Images of a paratype (IFRI) and Beeson’s drawing (1935: 113) were examined. The species is transferred to Euwallacea because of the following combination of characters: pronotum subquadrate and sides parallel in dorsal view (type 3); protibiae obliquely triangular, posterolateral margin of elytra obliquely costate; pronotal disc alutaceous; elytral declivity sparsely setose; scutellum flush with elytra and flat; and mycangial tufts absent.
Distribution. French Polynesia (Marquesas Is.: Hiva Oa I.).
