Type locality: South Africa, KwaZulu-Natal Province, Frere .

Material examined. SOUTH AFRICA: KwaZulu-Natal: 1 ♂: Maloti-Drakensberg Park, 1880m, 29°17.3’S, 29°36.0’E, Highmoor NR, Caracal cave env., 1.i.2018, P. Bulirsch & M. Těšínský lgt. (JJRC) .

Distribution. The species was hitherto known only in the type locality: Frere in South Africa.

Note. New record after more than 100 years. Puthz (1975) did not illustrated the aedeagus, published only a description of differences of aedoeagus in comparison to that of S. capicola . Aedeagus as in Fig. 50, male tergite 10 as in Fig. 51, male sternite 9 as in Fig. 52.
