orientalis -group s.l., parvipennis -subgroup

The following species have a preoccipital lunula as in other species of the orientalis -group s.l., but share a metascutellum that is visible in dorsal view, is wide with margins subparallel to the mesoscutellar margin; a small metanotal spine (Figs 32, 35, 36, 37, 80, 81, 84, 85, 87, 88, 92, 96, 99); and an elongate fore wing with a short or absent pm and a long posterior fringe as D. parvipennis (Dodd) (Figs 39c, d, e, f, Figs 40a, b, d, e).
