Horismenus butcheri Hansson & Aebi, in Hansson et al. 2004:10 . Holotype female in NHM, examined.

Diagnosis. Antennal scrobes join below frontal suture; female flagellomeres 1–3 long, e.g. 1 st flagellomere 3.1× as long as wide (Fig. 34); male scape narrow, 4.5× as long as wide (Fig. 47); forewing speculum open below; scutellum convex; first gastral tergite with punctures in posterior 2/3 (Fig. 40); female gaster elongate, MM/LG = 0.8–0.9.

Distribution. Mexico and U.S.A. (New Mexico) (Hansson et al. 2004).

Hosts. Acanthoscelides sp. on Phaseolus vulgaris and P. coccineus, and Bruchus amicus (both Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae: Bruchinae) (Hansson et al. 2004).

Material examined. Type material: As accounted for in Hansson et al. (2004). Additional material: MEXICO: Mexico, Michoacan, Morelos, from Acanthoscelides sp. on Phaseolus vulgaris and P. coccineus 11♀ 10♂ (MZLU).

Molecular data. Horismenus butcheri equals “HB3” in Kenyon et al. (2015) and molecular data associated with “HB3” is accounted for in that paper.
