Distribution in the Arabian Peninsula: United Arab Emirates (new record), Yemen (Olmi & van Harten 2000).

Extralimital distribution: Widely distributed in the Afrotropical and Palaearctic regions (Olmi 2005).

Remarks: The new record is based on the following specimens: Abu Dhabi, Al Wathba Wetland Reserve, 1– 31.III.2015, Malaise trap, A. Saji & A. van Harten leg., 1 male (MOLC); same locality label, 1–31.VII.2015, 2 males (MOLC); same locality label, 10.V.2017, 2 males (MOLC); Abu Dhabi, Houbara Protected Area, 1– 30.IV.2016, Malaise trap, A. Saji & A. van Harten leg., 5 males (MOLC); same locality label, 1.XI–10.XII.2015, 8 males (MOLC).
