Note: The generic name Vigilia was unnecessarily introduced as a substitute name for the pre-occupied generic name Curimagua Hoffman, 1982, overlooking the replacement name Curimaguana Hoffman, 2007 established two years prior. Thus, Vigilia became an instantaneous junior objective synonym of Curimaguana . (It would have served the author of this unnecessary replacement name well to head his own recommendations as expressed in the etymology of the generic name). Furthermore, it is a recommendation and a hallmark of the cooperative nature of the international scientific community to follow the code in all aspects: Article 25, recommendation C is applicable in this case.

Distribution in Venezuela: Valle de Curimagua (cave), Falcon State.
