Borovec des. 2022 [p, red label] / Omotrachelus angulatus Hustache, R. Borovec det. 2022 [p]. Paralectotypes: 1 spec. (BMNH), same data as lectotype, but “COTYPE ♀ ”; 1 spec. (BMNH), same data as lectotype in first label / Pres. By Imp. Inst. Ent. B. M. 1945-25 [p] / Chelyophyes hemisphaericus, Mshl. [hw]. Both specimens are provided with paralectotype red label. Additional specimens have been examined from Ivory Coast: 4 specs., Abidjan, Banco Forest (Parc National du Banco), 05°23′03.8″ N, 04°03′11.2″ W, 22.iv.-1.v.2017, 39–48 m, General Collection (night), Aristophanous A., Aristophanous M., Geiser M., Moretto P. leg. (BMNH).
Remarks. This species was described based on 7 specimens from Ivory Coast, Bingerville, ii.1943, H. Alibert leg. under the newly described genus as Chelyophyes hemisphaericus (not Chelophyes hemispaericus as stated in Kania 2004: 116, 132). The genus and species were later synonymised by Kania (2004) with Omotrachelus angulatus Hustache, 1932 . The lectotype is pined, complete and well-preserved specimen, 4.31 mm long.
