Lycomorphon angusticolle (Pic, 1922)

Holotype, male, PERU: ‘San Mateo’ (MNHN).

Diagnosis. Elytra with 4 costae, costa 3 absent in apical third. Abdominal sternum 9 triangular proximally. Phallus with conical apex, paramerae length as long as third of phallus.

Redescription. Interocular distance 1.5 times longer than eye diameter. Mandibles strongly reduced, maxillary palpi short. Pronotum trapezoidal, with simple longitudinal carina, coloration dark brown with lateral regions light brown. Anterior thoracic spiracles more or less elongate, tubular. Elytra dark brown, humeral region and median macula yellow. Each elytron with 4 costae, costa 3 absent in posterior third, reticulate cells almost square, irregular. Abdominal sternum 8 provided with triangular emargination distally, sternum 9 rounded proximally. Phallus with distal half slightly curved dorsally, with conical apex, teary orifice in apical two thirds. Paramerae as long as third of phallus, rounded apically in lateral and ventral view (Figs. 23–25). Body length: 5.9 mm, humeral width: 1.2 mm.

Remarks. The antennae of the holotype are missing.
