Cyprinotus uenoi Brehm, 1936

1936 Cyprinotus Uenoi n. sp. —Brehm: 374, figs 1–4.

Material examined. Thirteen females and seven males from a rice field at Sangrim-ri, Jillyang-eup, Gyeongsan-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do (35º54′0 6.1″N, 128º50′9.1″E) (locality 10 on Fig. 1), 8 June 2011.

Remarks. This species has previously been reported from China (Liaoning Province), Japan, the Philippines (Luzon) and Korea (Brehm 1936; Okubo 1974; Victor & Fernando 1981; Kim & Min 1991b). It has been found in rice fields and associated waterways, reservoirs and ponds, but little is known of its ecology or life cycle.
