2006 Dolerocypris ikeyai n. sp. —Smith & Kamiya: 333–337, figs 2a–e, 4 & 5, appendix.

Material examined. One female from a small seep above a track at Gugye-ri, Yeongsan-myeon, Changnyeonggun, Gyeongsangnam-do (35º37′56.3″N, 128º33′ 54.9E) (locality 12 on Fig. 1), 4 June 2011. Five females from small seeps and springs along the edges of a footpath in Deokgu Valley at Deokgu-ri, Buk-myeon, Uljin-gun, (37º04′33.3″N, 129º15′27.6″E) (locality 2 on Fig. 1), 6 June 2011.

Remarks. Previously this species was known from the Japanese archipelago: from northern Honshu to the islands south of Kyushu, and also the Ogasawara Islands (Smith & Kamiya 2006; Smith 2011). The widespread distribution in Japan, and especially its presence on the remote Ogasawara Islands, led to the suggestion it has a high dispersal potential and may be found elsewhere (Smith 2011); thus the Korean populations are not unexpected. It is strongly related to groundwater runoff, usually found near small springs and seeps on a muddy substrate in very slowly flowing, shallow water (Smith 2011).
