Serrolecanium kawaii Hendricks & Kosztarab, 1999: 73 .

Distribution in China. Anhui.

Host plants. Indocalamus sp..

Biology. Living singly on stems beneath leaf sheath.

Material examined: 2ƤƤ, ANHUI: Mt. Jiuhuashan, on Indocalamus sp., 30 May 2010, Coll. San-an Wu. Remarks. We identified this material as S. kawaii based on the description of Hendricks and Kosztarab (1999), i.e., (i) posterior six abdominal segments expanded laterally, and (ii) the antennae plate-like. This is the first record of this species in China.
