Hydrochus johannapietersenae Makhan 1995; Oliva (1996); Perkins (2019a).
Originally described from Brazil. Also reported from Argentina, Bolivia, and Paraguay (Oliva, 1996); however, additional confirmation of the records from Argentina and Bolivia are needed. Confirmation of the Paraguay record ( H. johannapietersenae jr. syn.) was given in Perkins (2019a). Locality and deposition data records have been published for Ecuador (Perkins 2020b). Records from Peru are given below. Habitus and male genitalia illustrations are given in Perkins (2019a).
