Material studied (NRM): N.E. BURMA (MYANMAR), Kambaiti, 2000 m, 26.iv.1934, R. Malaise, 1 ɗ. Paratype (NRM): Same data as holotype but 31.iii.1934, 1 ɗ.
Description (male). Head (Fig. 2B). Eye bridge 2–3 facets wide. Prefrons with 10 setae, clypeus nonsetose. Palpomere 1 with 1 seta. Length/width of flagellomere 4 of antenna not measured. Thorax. Anterior pronotum with 4 setae, episternum 1 with 5 setae. Wing. Length 1.55 mm, width/length 0.40, c/ w 0.60, R1/R 0.55. rm nonsetose. Legs (Fig. 3 C). Length of spur/width of front tibia 1.25. Abdomen. Sternite 8 with 20 setae. Hypopygium (Fig. 7 C, D). Female: Unknown.
Discussion. Keilbachia flagrispina was described on the basis of two males from Nepal (2700 m) (Mohrig et al. 1999). We have not seen the type material but judge the identity of our Burmese specimens from the original illustrated description. Keilbachia flagrispina is similar to K. scutica .
