DISTRIBUTION. Described from glasshouse colonies in Britain; Taiwan (Jihyuetan, Kentingkunyen, Kuantaochi).

HOST PLANTS. Davalliaceae: Davallia sp.; Dryopteridaceae: Dryopteris sp., Tectaria decurrens; Nephrolepidaceae: Nephrolepis sp.; Pteridaceae:? Pteris togoensis; Thelypteridaceae:? Cyclosorus dentatus .

COMMENTS. All of the original material was collected from glasshouses in the Royal Botanic Gardens at Edinburgh and Kew, UK. Material collected from Tectaria decurrens in Taiwan was from plants in the open air in several locations, and has confirmed that this species is of Oriental origin (Ko et al. 1998; vouchers in BMNH).
