Protapalochrus (Latapalochrus) Tshernyshev, subgen. n.

Type species Protapalochrus puncticollis (Wittmer, 1970) .

Differential diagnosis. The species of the subgenus differ from their congeners of the nominative subgenus by the following characters: body subparallel, distinctly widened posteriorly, pronotum transversal, weakly narrowed at base just behind basal fifth, 3rd antennal segment longer than the 1st antennomere.
