Rhabdostyla vernalis Stokes, 1887

Record as epibiont on ostracods: This species was reported as epibiont on exoskeleton of ostracod Cypris sp. from USA freshwaters (Stokes 1888; Morado & Small 1995); it was reported also on ostracods from Hungary (Stiller 1971).

Record as epibiont on other hosts: This species was reported as epibiont on the copepod Eucyclops agilis agilis (Koch, 1838) (cited as Eucyclops agilis) (cf. Henebry & Ridgeway 1979) and Cyclops sp. (Stokes 1888).

Remarks: According to Stiller (1971) this is a common species in North America and Germany.
