Type material examined. Holotype ♀ (Fig. 20; right antennomeres 3–11 and hind right leg missing): ‘melanoceph. | Akbes, Syria | Staudinger’ <handwritten>, ‘c. Eppelsh. | Steind. d.’ <printed>, ‘Type. metal - | licum Luze’ <handwritten>, ‘TYPUS’ <red, printed>, ‘ Anthobium | metallicum (Luze, 1905) | Shavrin A.V. det. 2024’ (NMW) .

Additional material examined. I studied 38 specimens (NMW) from Turkey, label`s data of which were published by Assing (2013) .

Remarks. Lathrimaeum metallicum was originally described from “ Syrien (Akbes)” based on a single female. Measurements of the holotype: HL: 0.41; HW: 0.79; AL: 1.42; OL: 0.17; PL: 0.65; PW: 1.15; ESL: 2.00; EW: 1.90; AW: 1.18; TL: 3.60. The habitus (Fig. 20) and the aedeagus (Figs 16–17) of A. metallicum are figured for the first time. The species is known from Syria, Lebanon and southern Turkey (Scheerpeltz 1961, Assing 2013).
