Remarks. Syllis glarearia (Westheide, 1974) was one of the most abundant species in the studied area. The characters agree well with the original description (Westheide, 1974). S. glarearia had only been reported from the Galapagos Islands so that this new record from the Mexican Pacific extends its distribution range to the north. Habitat. Medium to coarse sand.
Distribution. Galapagos Islands, Panama (Pacific) and Southern Mexican Pacific.
