Diagnosis.
In the male genitalia, the shape of the uncus, gnathos, and phallus, this species is similar to A. aarviki Ustjuzhanin & Kovtunovich, 2016. These species differ from each other by the wider valves, long anellus arms and cornuti. The new species is also distinctive in the wing colour: in A. aarviki the wings are yellow with white transverse bands, while in A. zinovievi, the wings are white with wide dark brown bands (Kovtunovich and Ustjuzhanin 2016).
