Note: The mix-up of the names and synonyms for the species C. lugdunensis and C. plumbeus is a reason for the species name seen in articles about Indian fauna. The junior synonym of C. plumbeus from India, Creoleon murinus, was originally mentioned by Navás (Navás 1931b: 83). C. lugdunensis was thought to be synonymous with the species names C. plumbeus and C. murinus by Ghosh & Sen (1977). The species name C. lugdunensis in the Indian checklists (Ghosh & Sen 1977: 302; Ghosh 1983a: 86; Sharma & Chandra 2012: 487) is referred to in the faunistic data of C. murinus given by Navás (Navás 1931b: 83). It is necessary to remove the species’ name from the Indian faunal lists (Suryanarayanan et al. 2024b: 6).
