Distribution. Iran (Amsel 1954) and Ţrkiye (new record).

Remarks. Amsel (1954) created a diagnostic key for the species of P. albidiscella (Amsel, 1954), P. farsella (Amsel, 1951) and P. sefidella (Amsel, 1954) that were in the genus Ardekania Amsel, 1951 . He used diagnostic characters such as antennae, forewing cells, m2 and m3 veins to distinguish these three species. P. farsella was previously reported from Türkiye (Kemal & Koçak 2017a; Akın & Seven 2020). In this study, the identification of P. albidiscella was based on Amsel’s (1954) diagnostic key and compared with P. farsella . During the literature analysis about Polyochodes species a missidentification was found—the figures of P. farsella in Kemal & Koçak paper (2017b: Figs 88—90) relate precisely to P. albidiscella . Therefore, the distribution of P. albidiscella in Ţrkiye has been updated for Elazığ (Maden district) and Bitlis (Mutki district).
