Holotype: ZMB 33622 (= A 5574), male, adult, skull, mounted skin; “Urwald nördlich von Kinjawanga, wenig westlich vom Ituri zwischen Albert-Edward- und Albert-See, ungefähr unter 29° 35' östl. von Greenwich und 0° 25' nördl. Br. im Wakondjo-Lande“ [west of the Semliki river, east of Beni, Democratic Republic of Congo]; collected by Dr. Stuhlmann, 07 January 1892.
