Current valid name: Pan troglodytes ellioti (Matschie, 1914)

Holotype: ZMB 83868 (= A 60.05.2), male, adult, skin, skeleton (= ZMB 83709); Bascho [Basho], N Cameroon; collected by von Oertzen, 1905.

Comment: According to Matschie (1914, p.327), the skull was in private property of Hauptmann von Oertzen. The current whereabouts are unknown.
