Honveda nepalina; Schintlmeister, 2013; 11: 220.
TL: Ulleri [Nepal]; TD: NSM
Material Examined: 1 ♂, Uttarakhand, Uttarkashi dist., Govind WLS, CH 18, 1800 m, 31.1319°N; 78.0599°E, 24. vii. 2012, leg. A.K. Sanyal ; 3 ♂♂, ditto, 25. vii. 2012 .
Distribution: India: Uttarakhand. Elsewhere: Nepal.
Diagnosis: Forewing length ♂♂ 24–25 mm.
A prominent black streak in the postmedian area of forewing distinguishes H. nepalina from its congeners. Nevertheless, the best way to differentiate among the conspecifics is to study the male genitalic characters. In male genitalia of H. nepalina, socii has a slight bulge at tips; uncus is short and triangular; juxta process very short and bifurcated; valvae with digitate process at the ventral margin, sacculus slender, crescent-shaped and pointed; phallus zig-zag shaped with curved and pointed apex.
Note: Till date, only Honveda fasciata (Moore, 1879) was reported under this genus from India. This new record adds another species to this genus from India.
