Diagnosis: Forewing length ♂♂ 25 mm.

Both male and female adults of this species resemble much to P. postruba (Swinhoe, 1903), but external appearance of the latter is darker and more reddish tinged. P. orest Schintlmeister, 1997, a further closely related and similar species, have wing coloration paler than genitale, in particular hindwings are white rather than light brown. P. genitale can be best identified by male genitalia characters which possess a distinct wide gap between the lobes of uncus; broad sacculus, a tooth-like projection at the basal area of costal process of valvae; bifurcate juxta process with asymmetrical short arms; phallus with slender and prominently curved tip.
