Anthaxia (Cratomerus) congolana Kerremans, 1909

Anthaxia congolana Kerremans, 1909: 25, t. 3, f. 36.

Anthaxia kamanyabensis Obenberger, 1931: 179; Bílý 1996: 24 (synonymy). Anthaxia (Cratomerus) electra Cobos, 1967: 394 –396, syn. n.

Anthaxia electra was described from two females labeled: ”Abachaus, Otjiwarongo Distr., S. W. Africa, G. Hobolm coll., 1953” (holotype deposited in ZSMC). Having studied both holotype and paratype (MNCN) and the Kerremans´ holotype (by monotypy) (MRAC), I find A. electra to be conspecific with A. congolana and a new junior subjective synonym.
