DISTRIBUTION: Southern Africa, incl. South Africa (de Graaff, 1981; Skinners and Smithers, 1990), Zimbabwe (Smithers and Wilson, 1979), Zambia (Ansell, 1978), Botswana (Smithers, 1971), Angola (Hayman, 19636; Hill and Carter, 1941), S Zaire, Malawi, (Ansell and Dowsett, 1988), and Mozambique (Smithers and Tello, 1976).

SYNONYMS: angolensis, eastwoodae, jordani, parvulus (see Ellerman et al., 1953).
