Corusca wuzhishanensis sp. nov.

Type material: Holotype: male, Mt. Wuzhishan (18°53.897′N, 109°41.440′E, alt. 1200 m), Hainan Island, China, 29 April 2011, leg. Yuanye Zhou. Paratypes: 1 male, 1 female (IZCAS), same data as holotype.

Etymology. The specific name refers to the type locality; adjective.

Diagnosis. This species resembles C. viriosa sp. nov. in having similar male palp, but can be distinguished by the median apophysis which with different length of branches, and the absence of branch on patellar apophysis (Figs 92, 98; 77, 83); female can be distinguished by details of epigyne (Figs 94, 100; 80, 85).

Description. Male (Figs 92, 93, 96–99, 102): Total length 2.1, PL 1.2, PW 0.9, OL 0.9, OW 0.8. Eye sizes: AME 0.3, ALE 0.2, PME 0.05, PLE 0.15, AER 0.9, PER 0.8, EFL 0.6. Legs: I 2.2 (0.65, 0.3, 0.55, 0.45, 0.25), II 2.0 (0.6, 0.25, 0.45, 0.4, 0.3), III 2.0 (0.6, 0.25, 0.45, 0.4, 0.3), IV 2.75 (0.9, 0.3, 0.7, 0.55, 0.3); formula: 4132.

Dorsal prosoma light brown, with dark sides, covered with brown and white setae. Clypeus height 0.1, Clypeus gray brown, covered with white setae. Fovea, cervicle and radial grooves unclear. Chelicerae small and yellow, with two promarginal teeth, retromargin with three teeth. Endites, labium and sternum yellow. Leg I to III with black longitudinal stripes. Metatarsus I with three pairs of ventral spines. Opisthosoma cylindrical, yellowish brown, with three black spots, following one latitudinal stripe; anterior and posterior margins covered with long brown setae; ventral opisthosoma yellow. Spinnerets light yellow, anterior spinnerets shorter and stronger than posterior ones. Palp (Figs 92, 93, 96–99): Patellar apophysis broad and blunt. Tibial apophysis long, extending towards median bulbus. Embolus long, bifurcated on top of bulbus. Median apophysis bent, twisted distally, with a fingerlike apophysis medially.

Female (Figs 94, 95, 100, 101, 103, 104): Total length 2.6, PL 1.2, PW 1.0, OL 1.4, OW 1.2. Eye sizes: AME 0.3, ALE 0.2, PME 0.05, PLE 0.2, AER 1.0, PER 0.9, EFL 0.7. Legs: lost.

Opisthosoma oval, yellowish brown, with three irregular latitudinal stripes. Other characters similar to those of male. Epigyne (Figs 94, 100): moderately sclerotized, swollen medially, with a groove leading to the copulatory ducts. Vulva (Figs 95, 101): complicated, copulatory ducts folded, merged and extending towards the groove. Spermathecae irregular.

Distribution. The species is known only from the type locality (Fig. 258).
