Material examined. 2 males, 2 females, 1 manca (MGAB CUM 1768), St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands, Caribbean Sea, 18°13'18.6960"N, 64°40'33.4560"W, May 8, 2012 ; 4 males (MGAB CUM 1798), San Cristobal reef, La Parguera, Puerto Rico, Caribbean Sea, 17°56'28.68"N, 67° 04'34.75"W, September 6, 2012, 3 m ; 2 males (MGAB CUM 1770), El Seco, Vieques, Puerto Rico, 18°07'38.0280"N, 65°10'39.9720"W, 71 m, January 17, 2010, collected by Nikolaos V. Schizas during the 2010 UPRM-DMS Mesophotic cruise.

Diagnosis. Carapace of female with smooth ventral margin, uropodal peduncle 0.93 times pleonite 6 length, without lateral setae, endopod with 1 medial seta. Male uropodal peduncle 1.2 times pleonite 6 length, without lateral setae, endopod with 4 medial setae.

Remarks. This is the first record of the species from Puerto Rico.

Distribution. Cuba (Băcescu & Muradian, 1977a) and Bahamas (Abaco Island) (Petrescu, 1996), Belize (Petrescu, 2002), U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico (present record). Depth range: 0.2– 71 m.
