Genus Durgades Distant

Durgades Distant, 1912: 608; 1916: 237; Viraktamath, 2004: 365 –366, Viraktamath, 2011: 41. Type-species: Durgades nigropictus Distant, type by original designation.

Diagnosis. Crown of head extremely short, posterior margin upturned in middle forming ridge; face wider than long. Ocelli closer to inner margins of adjacent eye than to each other. Forewing venation prominent with fine setae along veins. Male pygofer variable: either elongate, upturned, or truncate with spine-like processes or with marginal blade-like processes. Subgenital plates without macrosetae. Aedeagus symmetrical, aedeagal shaft and dorsal apodeme with processes.

Distribution. China (Sichuan, Taiwan, Tibet), India, Nepal, Pakistan.

Remarks. Viraktamath (2004, 2010) reviewed the genus and dealt with ten species known from the sub-Himalayan region of India, Pakistan and Nepal.
