Genus Anaceratagallia Zachvatkin
Anaceratagallia Zachvatkin, 1946: 159 –161. Type species: Cicada venosa de Fourcroy, by original designation.
Diagnosis. Crown of head medially longer than next to eyes, face convex in lateral view. Pronotum transversely rugose. Male pygofer bearing lobe produced caudoventrally into acute process, anal collar appendage well developed, subgenital plates boat-shaped in lateral view, with row of stout setae.
Distribution. China (Gansu, Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang), Western Palaearctic and Oriental regions.
Remarks. Following Viraktamath (2011) the genus is considered distinct from Agallia Curtis and can be recognized by the characters given in the key. This European genus was recorded for the first time from China by Zhang et al. (2010).
