Genus Austroagallia Evans
Austroagallia Evans, 1935: 70 . Type species: Austroagllia torrida Evans, by original designation. Peragallia Ribaut, 1948: 59 . Type species: Bythoscopus sinuatus Mulsant and Rey, by original designation; synonymy by Le Quesne, 1964: 73.
Diagnosis. Ground color pale brown with pair of black spots on crown of head and larger pair on pronotum. Crown sinuate behind eyes, shorter medially than next to eyes. Face (including eyes) longer than wide. Ocelli closer to each other than to adjacent eye. Pronotum declivous anteriorly, without transverse rugae but with transverse wrinkles and minute pits. Forewing claval vein without cross vein. Male pygofer with caudodorsal lobe-like process. Aedeagus asymmetrical, with well developed dorsal apodeme. Anal collar appendage well developed with variety of processes.
Distribution. Afrotropical, Palaearctic, Oriental; adventive in Australia, Oceanic Islands and Neotropical regions.
