Thereuopoda clunifera (Wood, 1862)
Cermatia clunifera Wood, 1862: 10 .
Type locality: China: Hong Kong.
Holotype: one specimen, sex unknown, No 255, USNM.
Material examined: The MNHN houses specimens from Japan (Nakaodõ Cave, Akiyoshi Plateau and Tokyo) identified by M. Würmli.
General distribution: China. Japan. Taiwan. Java?
Remarks: It is very likely that Thereuopoda clunifera is a junior synonym or, at the best, a subspecies of T. longicornis (Fabricius, 1793) (cf. Würmli, 1979). The records from Java – Batavia and Buitenzorg (Chamberlin, 1939; 1944), and Salak (Attems, 1903) are most probably based on specimens of typical T. longicornis .
